Brentor Parish Council have a store of equipment for parishioners to use in the event of an emergency such as flooding.

The equipment is stored at the Village Hall and comprises of flood barriers, sand bags, grit/salt, pumps, shovels, lights, brooms and various other items. Sand, grit and sandbags are stored alongside the hall in yellow bins, other equipment and flood barriers are at the bottom of the halls grassed area.

During periods of severe weather (that is when a weather warning has been issued for the area or there has been a sustained period of rainfall etc.) the store will be unlocked for easy access. At other times the equipment can be accessed by contacting one of the emergency co-ordinators listed in the Parish Emergency Plan. Please be careful when moving sand and grit as it can be very heavy, particularly when wet.
