It&#8217;s at the then Brentor Inn the day of my younger brother&#8217;s christening about 1968. My dad in the background, Eric Doidge, farmer at Cross Trees Farm South Brentor, my Mum Celia (a Brentorian, I&#8217;ve memorabilia from then &#8211; original programmes and photographs), then there is my sister Beverley, my brother Ashley, myself Francesca and my grandmother Ethel May Scott (formerly of the Fox and Hounds).<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Many a cherryade had on that day by the look of it! #800000;\"><b>From Leslie White of Heathfield &#8211; 1970s and 1980s<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I remember going\u00a0to\u00a0the Brentor with my grandad Edgar Parnell.\u00a0 He used\u00a0to ring the bells\u00a0at the church.\u00a0 We would\u00a0 go on a Sunday\u00a0for an hour.\u00a0 Us kids would stay in the\u00a0veranda\u00a0with a bottle of Coke\u00a0while\u00a0 grandad was in\u00a0the\u00a0bar.\u00a0 Later, in \u201881 \u201882, me, my brother and dad played\u00a0pool\u00a0for the\u00a0Brentor Inn when John Clarke owned\u00a0it.\u00a0
