- May 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There has been no further information about Alvin placed in the public domain. Should any information be made available then it will be published here as well as social media and other channels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update - 22nd April 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Police in St Austell have confirmed that Alvin was seen on CCTV alighting from a bus in St Just, Cornwall on the evening of the 27th March 2024. There has been no other sighting of Alvin reported since.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update - 4th April 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">From Devon and Cornwall Police:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>MISSING | Police have released a new image in the search for missing 72-year-old Alvin Diaz from West Devon.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Alvin was reported missing from his home in Brentor on Wednesday 27 March.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It is now believed that Alvin travelled by train to West Cornwall on 27 March, getting off at Penzance Railway Station. A person, believed to be Alvin, was seen on CCTV at the station.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Alvin is familiar with the Penzance, St Buryan, Mousehole and Marazion areas, as well as the Isles of Scilly from previous visits.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">He has not been heard from since his disappearance and we\u2019re appealing for anyone who may have seen Alvin, to please get in touch.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Alvin is described as a white man, around 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He may be wearing a black woolly hat and Merrell trekking shoes. He may also be wearing blue rimmed glasses.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Searches are enquiries are ongoing in the area in efforts to find Alvin but we\u2019re asking for the public to report any sightings or information which may help us.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Anyone who sees Alvin or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 quoting log 408 of 27 March.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Update - 3rd April 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Enquiries by the Police have determined that Alvin alighted at Derriford Hospital and went into the hospital. It is then believed that he reboarded a bus and travelled to Plymouth.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Update - 30th March 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite featuring on the local TV news last night and extensive searches in Plymouth and other areas Alvin has not been found. Alvin's family have produced a flyer with some further information. They are desperate for more information, if you have any information please get in touch.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Update - 29th March 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Police have traced Alvin to the bus station in Tavistock where it is believed that he boarded a bus for Plymouth. It is not known at this point where he got off the bus but the working theory is that he has travelled to the city. Alvin has links to the boating community in Plymouth and it is possible that he has visited one of the marinas or boat yards in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Please spread the word about Alvin, his family are desperate to bring him back home.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Update at 20:00 28th March 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alvin has still not been located. However the Police now believe that he may be in the Plymouth area as it is thought that he boarded a bus for Plymouth after travelling to the bus station in Tavistock on the 118 bus from Brentor.
