\"\"<\/a>Brentor is fortunate to have a thriving and well-used village hall and a playing field which provides one of the best backdrops to sport in the South West. These facilities are administered by the Brentor Village Hall and Playing Field Committee.<\/p>\n

The Committee is made up from local volunteers, including representatives of various regular user groups. As well as running and maintaining these facilities, the Committee spends a considerable amount of time fundraising for day-to-day costs and special projects and helping with regular events such as the monthly coffee morning.<\/p>\n

The Brentor Commons have an ancient origin, and formed an important part of the original parish of Brentor prior to the enlargement of the parish in the 1880s. They occupy a site of high landscape value on a ridge between Brent Tor and the Lyd Valley area of outstanding natural beauty. They command excellent views across to St Michael de Rupe and northwest Dartmoor.<\/p>\n
